Jennifer takes a cross-disciplinary approach to her practice by focusing on a wide variety of transactional law areas including mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and financing, real estate law, and public finance. 

Jennifer’s corporate practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, entity choice and formation, and general business transactions. She has experience serving clients in mergers and acquisitions in the retail, energy, technology and telecommunications industries. She provides guidance on business topics spanning the proper entity choice and financing to meet current and future business goals and ongoing corporate needs including employment agreements, licensing agreements, confidentiality agreements, and restructurings.

Jennifer’s real estate practice centers on acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real property, real estate development and financing, and negotiation of commercial leases.

Jennifer also has experience representing financial institutions, servicers and issuers in connection with public and private domestic and international asset-backed offerings.

Prior to joining Baker Williams Matthiesen, Jennifer attended the University of Texas School of Law where she was an associate editor of the Texas Law Review. She began her career in mergers and acquisitions at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York before returning to her native Texas. She is licensed in New York and Texas. Jennifer is “Mom” to two beautiful boys, Kieran and Sawyer, and is an active member of the community.
